Hello,
We’re buying the summer set up this spring for a 17 non PP 6-sp. We’re going 18x8 Neuspeeds and probably Fstone Indys. Will I notice a grip difference between 235/40s and 225/40s. Obviously I’m asking if it’s okay to cheap out:D $580 vs $490.
Thx Rick

Def go 235/40.

They look much better and provide a smoother ride.

235/40ZR-18 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3 upgraded from crappy 225 Pirelli, best decision I've ever done.

It’s negligible.

How about with your 245/40? I'm thinking of going 245/35 when I go 19" in the spring. Worried about rubbing of course, but also the taller gearing.

OP, 235's are perfect for an 8".

I just recently went 235/40 and I notice greater initial steering turn in, and the car feels more planted. Overall the car feels more responsive to steering input.
