Bad times going on a dirt road in Death Valley. Thought if I took it slow, the Golf could handle it.
Narrator: It, in fact, would NOT handle it at all. It would leave its owner stranded three hours away from the nearest town with no cell reception.

It was a saga in its own that I'll probably write up in a short thread just for everyone's amusement.
