Why do I have a hole in my rear diffuser?

I have only owned my Mk7.5 for about two weeks, so forgive me for the stupid question. But why in the world do I have a big gaping hole in the bottom of my rear diffuser? My Mk7 didn't have this...i don't have pics but can get some later.

I don't think you can order it through your US dealer. Check the many hitch threads, there's a ton of options. I used a Mk7 Draw-Tite hitch that doesn't fit a Mk7.5. I had to cut the diffuser, but gained about 2" of clearance. It never grinds over bumps or ramps.

I guess I will leave it alone i hope it doesn't create problems for me in the winter though.

Remember that most Euro towbar/hitches are not receiver types, so only good for dragging a small trailer.
