Depends on budget and intent. On a budget, I always recommend Audi A3 or A4 wheels. They're good quality, they fit perfectly with no hub rings (A3), 18's are 8" wide instead of gti 7.5"and you can usually find them pretty cheap.

Anything else, there's a thousand options.

You can read up on here. There's tons of wheel threads

Not all of A4 wheels are 57.1mm hub bore. B8 and later are 66.67mm hub bore.

A3's, PQ35 wheels are 18x7.5. Some of the MQB 18" wheels are 7.5" wide also

Just got APR! Now it’s time for wheels and tires! Recommendation! I have a 2017 golf s

It depends on lot of other variables and i dont see any such info in the post.
- Are you planning oem or aftermarket.
- Whats your budget.
- Are you sticking with stock size or do you want to go bigger.

There are n number of threads about wheels in the forum. If you do some research and zero in some options, people can share their experiences with those specific wheels.

What do i eat for lunch. Oh wait, i might need a new thread for this.

There are numerous options for quality spacers available. DAP, ECS, H&R, etc. Why is this in classified?

How does the handling feel compared to stock? I am worried 18x8.5 will feel less responsive than the 18x7.5 GTI stock wheels.
