How is the fit of the rings for the volume and tune knob? I believe there had been some feedback that the rings stick out too far (AKA not flush) but I cannot find those posts right now. Any chance of a pic or two of those knobs from more of an angle?
Thanks!

It does have a lip to it, doesn’t bother my level of OCD as much as the power symbol did..

Oh god the power symbol drives me crazy. I too like the chrome rings, I think they fit pretty well. I’ve had them on since maybe a month after I got the car. 6900 miles later and I’m still happy.

Need cluster and most cable.
Reprogrammed at local shop, the immobilizer is in the dash. So need to reprogram 2 keys. Works good no fault code or problems.

Need a brand new cluster to have the right milage on it. Also need to upgrade discover to mib 2.5 to have the navi screen in the cluster if you have a 2014.

Installed some black lug bolts from ECS and wheel locks for my new BBS SRs. The stock VW plastic caps don't fit and the chrome bolts that came with the wheels didn't look right. The SRs require conical bolts so I couldn't reuse the bolts that came with my original DAP flush kit. Since the wheels are ET 45, I removed my 10mm front spacers and swapped them to the rear - removing the 15mm rear spacers entirely. The result was a damn near flush look. I stayed at a stock length of 28mm bolts in front and went 38mm in the rear. Very pleased.

Got these window vents from Flow Designs the other day, like them pretty well. Suck some air and no ear thumping. Disclaimer, they are not silent, they do make a slight whistle noise above 45, but don't hurt your ears. It definitely stays cooler than with AC off and windows up. ALSO, I prob won't be doing a whole lot to the mk7 for awhile as I picked up a new toy. 1962 ragtop
