VW models with CarPlay support arrive in US

As per the title, the first VW models with CarPlay support are arriving in U.S. dealerships.

I wonder if theirs will work when they receive their cars?

Nice of VW to announce this while a growing number of early adopters still don't have it functioning in their cars, and VW can't provide a solution.

Greetings. New to the forum. Don't have a Golf though did have Golf III prior to my 04 Passat GLX, which is ready to be replaced. Currently have a 60GB Phatbox which supports gapless FLAC playback.

Looking at Golf Sportwagen as I need a bit more room.

This VW Press release http://media.vw.com/release/1032/ states FLAC playback on SD card will be supported in certain Composition Media trim levels in 2016 models.

Would sure be nice if gapless FLAC playback was supported.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
