VW is Insane!

I hit a pothole the other day and lost a small plastic trim piece under the front valance. VW dealer here wants $150.00 for a new one--insanity!!
Anyone know where I could source for a new or used replacement? Thanks!!

Had the same issue but the hole was much larger. yanked that bit off and cracked the radiator frame. 1700 in fixes...

That must have been a deep hole to damage this part.
No wheel or suspension damage with it?

It was deep but I was just creeping along because I suspected there might be a hole there, it was full of muddy water.

That must have been a deep hole to damage this part.

I often wonder if it's possible to claim the repair against the road authority in the state?? If you have it on dash cam and take a pick of the damage and pothole? Lots of bad roads out there and as you noted repairs can be stupidly expensive...anyone done this with any success I mean we pay for the roads right?
