Vehicles that this guide is applicable to
Golf 2013 ->
e-Golf 2014 ->
Golf Variant 2014 ->
Golf Sportsvan 2015 ->
Introduction
Why do this when we already have various threads on this subject? Because this forum is worldwide (although mainly USA), & the other threads do not offer service info for other countries. Also the other info is out of date & not separated or detailed enough to carry out the procedures yourself. I wanted to do a complete check list for the MK7 Golf across all variants, countries, engines etc.. The only reason I started to do this was because I write my own check list sheets for my cars, so I had to sort through the information for myself anyway!
Research
I have all the paid for official VAG (ERWIN) MK7 Golf information, including the service schedules & maintenance check lists. All this information is from the June 2017 Maintenance PDF for the MK7 Golf, including the Variant, Sportsvan, & e-Golf.
Considerations
Unfortunately VAG have a certain way of writing these documents which is not 100% clear & actually includes information in the maintenance schedules which it states is for other models, & not for the MK7 Golf (inc. all versions).
So I have totally re-written the whole lot! I have tried to keep to the original layout & wording, where possible, but have made the wording easier to understand & made the layout clearer where necessary. The tables of affected countries, again I re-wrote as the VAG versions were not in alphabetical order & were not consistent with the recognised official naming structure for countries. I have also placed a square “check box” by the listed items & places to enter your car reg/mileage & service date, so you can print off & keep a proper service record.
This first post has the main “all versions worldwide” schedule as one PDF document & the “tables of affected countries” as two PDF documents. I had to split this document up due the PDF file size limit here (I wanted the info on the forum & not linked to a third party host site).
To get the correct service information for your car, you have to refer to the “tables of affected countries” which then alters the service intervals for various items due to fuel quality, dusty climates etc..
Also please look in your car handbook/service book which will have the data sticker in it which should also state the PR code eg QI1, QI2, QI3, QI4, QI6, QI7,
I will post in subsequent posts the “altered to” main combinations of the service schedules which will make the document even clearer. If you have a particular country/fuel service schedule you want me to make please let me know!
