Video proof that Nascar is for bitches!

I would definitely not say nascar is for bitches, I would learn more about the sport before you make that accusation . It is just a different kinda of racing. Darrell was simply uncomfortable being on a track he didnt know as a passenger on a track full of blind corners. Hell, I feel fine driving my car fast, but when I'm the passenger and my buddy is driving fast, I get a little nervous.

Key example:

Juan Pablo Montoya: Went from F1 to NASCAR, result: unsuccessful aside from road courses

Marcos Ambrose: Went from V8 super cars (the video) to nascar: unsuccessful, aside from road courses

Its simply apples to oranges, each sport has there own difficulties.

This is false, it's an apples to apples comparison, oranges and NASCAR are for bitches.

Yay stereo-type NASCAR bashing....

There is nothing easy about driving a 3400lb car on crappy tire and half the downforce of most contemporary cars with 800+ bhp, and a rule book that limits them to the vehicle design from half a centuries ago....racing at the speed they do with inches from each other and the wall for 3 hours is tough...

yep, all THAT and it's boring as watching fucking paint dry.

I did the Mario Andretti experience at the Chicagoland Speedway, in some weird old Indy type car, and was doing close to 160mph around the circle track for about 8mins. That was a tough 8mins, and yeah, the way you get pulled towards the wall is insane. It gave me some appreciate for NASCAR, but its still the most boring form of car motorsport there is. And yeah, the cars are just.... old and shitty. F1 and V8 Supercars are some of the best shit out there. Even the Continental championship this year was miles above NASCAR entertainment value, imho.

Not denying its not that good to watch, but to slight the challenge and competitiveness of NASCAR is seriously under estimating the level of skill(and actual engineering) involved....

Its definitely no longer a sport where a bunch of redneck yahoos winging-it every sunday, even if it looks like exactly that from the outside....

many also forget that darrell waltrip is an entertainer now too, if you have ever watched him commentate he is extremely lively, he was just being a goober as he always is, if you thought he was 100 percent serious on that run, you are extremely gullible.

check out 1:45: at road courses, nascar driver actually shift, none of the sequential gearbox stuff F1, and V8 supercars use, just real heel and toe shifting.

Yup that is the episode where they almost get the crap kicked out of them. My favorite racing is rally, but it is tough to cover for tv. In car cameras of stages are the sh!t! As in all racing it is about the driver finding the limits of the car and exploiting it, this takes skill no matter what the course, or car. I am a fan of F1 as it has the highest tech and the drivers reaction time has to be lighting fast. In rally it is the same and the ever changing conditions make for some incredible footage.
