TSI engine sound?

So I just recently got a TSI 5 speed, and noticed so far the engines really quiet. Not that its a bad thing, it makes my drives seem peaceful lol, but considering my car was brand new, does it get a little more growl when the engines broken in or is it just how the engine was built?

Car stays quiet. I installed an APR downpipe, but kept my stock exhaust. There is a little increase in sound with the tone being a little bit deeper, but you probably wouldn't notice it unless you were looking for it.

Even nice catbacks like the AWE sound disappointing. At the end of the day, it's a two liter :/

Mine was very quiet at the beginning.. But once I push my Golf as hard as I can on the limits... Engine started to be more loud.. Well, I quite like it!

Once you blow the exhaust, it will sound like a V8!!

Installed dp and exhaust system - car makes a growling sound but not obnoxious. Stock was way too quiet for my liking

Definitely a quiet engine. You can at least hear the turbo hiss a bit with the window open. It almost sounds like a BOV if you use full throttle and lift off quickly above 4500 RPM.

Vw dealer referred me to Powerflow exhausts (they did both dp and exhaust) after the first guys did a crappy job, car sounded like a booing.
