TSI Apr Stage 1 vs Taurus SHO

5spd 2015 Golf 1.8 TSI w/ APR Stage 1 tune (maaaybe 250hp) vs 2011 Taurus SHO (365hp)

It was surprisingly close till I had to shift into 3rd, at which point the Taurus ate me by a car length and a half. Slow roll from 15'sh to 75mph. Only tried once, and unfortunately my 93 tune had a mix of 87 and 93 in the tank.. car is too damned efficient, I can't seem to run the tank dry.

That's a good showing. With 100+ hp over what you have, once you get to 50 mph or so he should start to make huge gains on you. Not much you can do about that, except drop him and then let off the gas....

But this is why more hp is always (almost) good.

You fought well. It's good to have friends in the area with GTI or R. Then you can call on them to vanguish your foe.

Or just go big turbo. Haha.
