Full disclosure, this is literally my family's shop (grandfather built it, family friend bought it when he retired). So obviously I trust them and have had all major maintenance and repairs for all my vehicles done with them. They don't do aftermarket modifications, tuning, etc very much though. If that's too close to "I know a guy", I'm not offended if you leave it off the list. But they take good care of their customers.

To be 100% honest, I have not had any work completed by them, yet. I have been to their shop to pickup supplies and have seen the work that they do. The impression I’ve gotten is that they’re very down to earth and enthusiasts. If you’re still curious, follow them on Instagram and check it out. I find that their shop is always super clean and tools are organized! I’m a sucker for a clean shop

John is a VW Master Tech who worked at VW for many years. I trust him more than any dealer I have ever been to. He is fair and honest. He did some work on my 02 Jetta and now my 16 GSW. Only complaint is he is so good, it can be tough to get an appointment during the tourist season here.

Add german auto pros in Parma, Ohio. They fixed my charge pipe plug that I broke when installing JB1 for like 20 bucks, and a coworker of mine has had plenty of work done by them on his multiple golfs.

Oil changes, springs and spacers. He does many other things, but these are the things he's done for me.
Grant is well trusted and the go to guy for many of us in the area.
For what it's worth, I just paid him to do my first oil change when I could've gotten it done for free at the dealership. That's how much I trust him.
