Taking Car UK to Europe

I've searched looking for previous threads, but I can't find one.

Has anyone taken a UK Mk 7 from UK to Europe? If so, what was the best way to change the headlight dip?

Thanks

Dickt

Thanks for the reply.
Mine is a diesel GT, but one down from the GTD.
I tried the lights setup and it doesn't have the Travel Mode Option, and it doesn't have "dynamic bend lighting"- whatever that is!! The spots do look round corners, though.

Any ideas out there??
thanks

I think you'll only have the option if you have Xenons fitted - the way that Xenon's adjust and shutter the headlights mean they can 'adapt' themselves to right or left. With halogens, the beams are fixed and so you would have to adapt yourself.

I think.

Drive a lot in France but rarely at night and even more rarely on unfamiliar roads. If I do, just set the headlights to the loaded position 3. This doesn't dazzle oncoming vehicles with dipped headlights, but limits how much one can see.

Tried Eurolights (eBay, Halfords) beam adaptors on a previous car and while they work well, do not leave them on for more than a week or two in the summer sun as they will never come off.
