Suspension Difference Between GTI S and GTI Sport?

Hi all, I'm a bit of a newbie so please pardon if I sound naive. Does anyone know exactly what's difference between the suspension on the 2017 GTI S and the GTI Sport? I just bought the Sport and I can't find any specs on it. The sticker at the dealership just says it has a sport suspension and looking at VW's website, it's very basic and shows the same info for all the trim levels.

Furthermore, can anyone also offer any personal opinions on the firmness or harshness between the two? The reason I ask is, when I test drove the Sport, I could feel the firmness of the ride and I was good with it. However, after three weeks in my bumpy neighborhood, I'm starting to feel the accumulative effects and I'm getting slight headaches.

I hope to lower my car in the near future so I am hoping I can soften the ride a little depending on what set up I go with. Or would it only get worse? Maybe tires would help too? Any thoughts? Thanks!

Sport has the Performance Package which includes an e-diff, larger brakes and a few more HP. I'm not sure if the sways are bigger, but from my understanding the springs are the same.

The pp rear sway bar is a hollow 21.7 mm vs a 20mm solid. The hollow tube is stiffer than solid as well. Not sure the front size, but they may have done something similar.

I think all GTI come with the same suspension (except for DCC option).

I doubt this is going to go over too well here, but 17" wheels with a larger volume of air (fatter tires) is probably the only way to get the ride characteristics that you are looking for, I am leaning in the same direction myself.

I'd agree with this as an option. But for now, make sure your tires are not over inflated. That can make the ride pretty rough. 37psi should be about it.

There's no difference worth mentioning between trim levels,
there's only one between cars equipped with DCC and those
without DCC. Springs and front sway bars are the same any-
way, just the rear sway bar is slightly stiffer on DCC equipped
cars, but that isn't noticeable at all. The adaptive DCC makes
the noticeable difference. Basically, they're quite soft at low
speeds.
As I'm not familar with US specs, does your GTI have DCC?

Did you already check tire pressures? Did you check for
shipping pucks? If you would have done a search first,
you'd already know what to look for first. Btw, 32 psi is
fully sufficient.
Honestly, I couldn't imagine a stock GTI with correct
tire pressures and removed shipping pucks to cause
any headaches. Even more, not if it comes with DCC.

Honestly? Forget about lowering when your car is already
too stiff even stock. IF any, only get DG springs and pair
them with Koni FSD if you don't have DCC.
