Sat nav & radio conflict

Hi all,

just got my new 2000 GT and love it.

One issue is that the sat nav voice speaks over the radio if on, but I would have expected it to suppress the radio - can this be done (sorry if this is in the massive handbook!).

There is no setting to supress the radio whilst the Sat Nav announcements are made unfortunately.

You have to mute the radio transmission using the MFSW mute switch.

Surprising omission in the design...

can you not adjust the volume of the sat nav announcements when they are being spoken. I'm sure someone on another forum has said this is possible.

You can fiddle about changing the volume whilst driving yes but its the last thing you want to do.

It needs the Sat Nav to automatically overide the radio totally during Nav announcements really.

I did a few hundred miles yesterday and tried all sorts. You can change the announcement volume but each time you stop and take the key out it seems to revert back to the factory setting.

Its simply annoying but not a major problem as I can set the volume each trip.
