Remote starter

I will need to start winterizing my GTI soon, and looking into remote starters. I live in Canada, have KESSY and would like to use the OEM keyfob for this. Are there any products out there which will work?
I've heard rumours of Viper and XpressKit models that will, but not sure which ones or if there is any truth to this!

also, how does it work on manual transmission?
I heard something about a certain sequence when you stop the car, so it's "ready" when you want to start it. (when engine is running, pull the hand brake, leave it in N, activate the system, stop the engine.... coming back, start the engine with the remote starter, when you arrive to the car, open the door, and.......)
need more info....
especially price and installation.
