Rear Reading Lights Issue

The rear reading lights on my 2015 GTI will only go off if I use the key fob to lock the car. I've tried every switch I can find to no effect. As soon as the car is unlocked they are on and stay on while driving (very annoying at night). I'll be taking it to the dealer for the fix but was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and what the fix was. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Did you try the switch on the front, which is located with the front reading lights?? Or the two switches on the back??

As above, there is a switch for them where the front reading lights are.

Also the switches I have found DO NOT have a fixed ON or OFF position because of the other switch's which can switch all the lights of, so their position /function can change

basically I spent about 30mins playing with all the switch's on the roof to get them how I like.........

Do you rear lights have buttons right next to the lights that may be in the on position?

I had this problem. Played around with all the switches until it seemed to be OK. Then I read the manual.
If in doubt, read the instructions.
