Besides the fact that the epb works brilliantly and you constantly seem to moan about something you're never tried why don't you go for a test drive and use it as suggested. Cables on the manual handbrake stretch and snap and if they don't auto adjust the manual hand brake can fail. You won't ever get this on the epb. I'm surprised your even driving a mk6 and not some ford escort from the early 80's. Would I be right in thinking your sunroof is electric on your mk6? Would you not say a manual handle is better for opening and closing your roof. Seriously, go and try a car with epb and then come back and comment.

Never had a snapped hand brake cable in 40 years, they'e also auto adjusting these days

Electric one's can also seize and lock on if your alternator packs in, a friends C Max ended up stuck right across a busy junction when his alternator packed up, they had to use jump leads and move the two cars as one to shift it.

Having said that I think the epb works very well :)

Saying that I've read that XENON's are no longer an option on "highline" and GTi. You need the GTi performance pack.

I really hope this isn't true. I'd be quite angry if something I ordered quietly got changed. I've sent an email to the salesman I ordered my car through to see what I can find out..

I've read the same on an Aussie VW site. Numerous things taken away and options reduced, gain a 40 years sticker and 10ps......:(

I ordered a 140TSI in January with B-Xenons, if it turns up without the Xenons it is a deal breaker and I'm not going to accept the car or do any more business with VW, hello Alfa...

Very bad and poor move from VW, take take take and give very little.

The 40 years sticker sounds cool haha.

I think we'd have heard about the XENON's it would be a deal breaker for me unless they fit them. Hopefully those specific changes are just for the Aussie model as they weren't mentioned here :)

Hey guys, found out from my dealer about the heated steering wheel...it is being implemented from build week 22, however, it will only be available on the SE and GT models as with the GTI steering wheel there is a technical fault which they still need to fix...this is a shame as I would have loved a heated steering wheel but oh well...just having the car itself will do as the waiting period is killing me haha!

Does anyone know the MPG combined, CO2 and 0-62 figures for the NEW petrol 2015 engine for the 1.4 TSi GT DSG cannot find the figures on German VW site?

New Price List for UK shows Xenons still available for SE and GT.

1.4 TSI ACT 150 DSG has CO2 of 110, combined MPG of 60.1. Can't see 0-60(2).

New petrol engine which they are now fitting to the GT: I've had a reply from the Product Marketing Team at VW who have confirmed that the CO2 figure is unaltered at 110g/km. The 0-62 mph acceleration figure is 8.2 seconds. (1.4TSI ACT 150 DSG GT)

Is the new petrol engine ,1.4 tsi GT 150 DSG gearbox 6 or 7 speed. On my tracker it says 7 speed (the same as the 140psi) but on orange wheels it shows this model DSG as having a 6 speed box?

It's either a 7-speed DSG or a 6-speed manual
