Not worth the trouble? Or no trouble at all? (fitment)

I drive a 2017 GTI autobahn. Right now wheels/tires/suspension are all stock.
My wheels have some bends, and I have been looking to get something else.

I found a set of wheels/tires I like.
The wheels are Aodhan AH09
5x112 18x8.5 ET 35 Hub Bore 73.1
They are clad in brand new Pilot Sport AS4 (225/40/18)

My question is this - between needing rings to correct the hub bore, and an offset that is relatively far off from "traditional" for this car, am I creating any kind of trouble for myself? I know nothing about what issues hub rings might cause, other than reading that some people have trouble with metal ones freezing in place and being hard to remove. I put the specs into willtheyfit, but I am not sure I really understand the result.

Wisdom appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Post edited to include tire size
You’ll be fine (and look better than the conservative et45 commonly seen) with that size, offset, and current suspension. If you lower it you may need to do the fender screw mod and get some extra - camber dialed into the front only if you go really low.

As far as hub rings, nothing really to discuss 1 as long as you get the right size you’re fine. For a street car that doesn’t get the wheels pull off and on often stick with plastic… I run all. And they have never seized in there yet but you do battle with them at times, Vs plastic alway just comes out with an easy pull.

Good q & a about hub rings

What will the nonconformist offset result in? Wheels/tires closer to the body lines, like a spacer would accomplish?

Thanks all! Seems like I could move forward.

The other thing is the seller doesn't have lugs.
I know that not all lugs are created equal.

Is there one particular lug that is the correct item for this application?

Are there opinions about better and worse aftermarket lugs?
Seems like the issues are:
  1. Rust
  2. Stripping
  3. Security
Seems like the ECS products are not well-loved.
Gorilla?
Otis Inc (Modded Euros)
Ebay and Amazon?

Just noticed the lugs on FCPeuro would be guaranteed for life.
