I have been a VW fan for nearly 20 years after purchasing my Golf Mk2 GTi.
This has been by far and away the best car I have ever owned.
Be sad to see her go but I have bitten the bullet and purchased[/FONT][FONT=&quot]

[FONT=&quot]Ordered the car on Friday using a deal brokered through the Carwow website[/FONT][FONT=&quot]
[/FONT][FONT=&quot]I have been quoted build week 26, with delivery week 30/31.[/FONT][FONT=&quot]
[/FONT][FONT=&quot]Don’t mind having to wait – gives me time to sell the MK2 and save a bit[/FONT][FONT=&quot]
[/FONT][FONT=&quot]more towards the final payment when the car arrives.[/FONT][FONT=&quot]

Did you get a good discount of car wow then.

The list price for the R to the specification that I requested worked out to £38,465.
Using Carwow the price of an identical spec car was £34,936 - a saving of £3,529.

I tried a few VW dealers local to me (Nottingham/Mansfield) and they could offer no price reduction at all.

That's really good discount, I got a good deal from Vw. The thing about gti's and R's is they can sell them no problem so there not fussy about lowering prices or giving extra spec.
