Mk8 GTI to be revealed in March

But realistically, I can't imagine not. It's still an EA888 g3 with an IS20. A guy at my kid's school has a Mk8, he was behind me at drop off, I'll see if he wants to test this out at pick up here in a half hour. I'll take wrenches...

I thought the mk8 went to a new turbo supplier. I'm almost certain it's no longer IHI and it's not an IS20 anymore.

The R has a Continental turbo, but I thought the GTI still had the IS20? I guess this speaks to why no one knows what’s cross compatible.

Yep. R is a Continental, and the GTI is a Garrett turbo, iirc.
