MK7 GTI -> 7.5 R!

Just took delivery of a fresh off the lot 2019 R. Really tough to find one these days but lucked out and found the last Oryx White DSG in Canada.

I loved the GTI but hit an absolute upper limit in its ability to put power down at the race track. Going to be building the R up using the transferrable parts from the GTI and going from there.

For the purists out there, that front licence plate holder was a mistake and getting corrected immediately (at the dealerships expense)

Mine had been pre-drilled when I got it. I took it to a detailer to get the areas around the drill holes cleaned up and sealed against corrosion, then plugged them with bumper plugs. I'm a 5-10 foot "looks great" kinda guy, don't care for the 3-5 foot blemishes that are otherwise imperceptible

Clean, beautiful car. With the grey pretoria's, no less. I'd prefer those if I was in the market for an R, over the black painted ones. Congrats!
