Anyone here driving a manual Mk7 that previously owned an Mk6 Manual? What're your thoughts on the stock clutch? Comparison?

Still have my mk6, 2 months till I get my mk7. Stock clutch on the mk6 I would call as smooth as butter. I learned to drive manual in a corolla with a stage 2 clutch so mk6 took a while to get a feel for it. When I test drove the mk7, the clutch was much firmer, feels like my cousins new wrx. I like it. Don't know how much power it can hold though, hoping it can take stage 2 levels.

Hey! I owned a MK6 manual and a MK7 Manual, now I drive a MK7 DSG.

In comparison between the 2, I have to say the MK7 is totally different IMO.
The MK7 is a lot more smother, is hard to describe the feeling, but drives amazing and totally different. you should test drive it, is worth it! ;)

Good luck!

Firmer sounds good. I'm so over my Mk6's clutch it operates differently on a day-to-day basis. super annoying.
