mk6 18" lagunas on a mk7 gti w/ PP??

Has anyone tried fitting the old 18" Lagunas from the mk6 GTI over the BBK on the GTI w/ PP?

I'm sure they'd fit - the PP brakes aren't that large or thick. The mk5/6 wheels will sit further in than the mk7 wheels. Worst case you get spacers to make them look flush.

Anyone actually tried this yet? I know the offset is slightly lower, but otherwise the specs are the same.

2mm difference, which you probably wouldn't even notice

Oh, that much I'm sure of. I'm more concerned with them clearing the calipers on the PP's big brake kit. This is why I am hoping to hear from people that have done the swap rather than theories based upon sizing.
