I have a 2015 GTI which came equipped with MDI Lightning Adapter iPhone 4 style (in the impossibly tight cubby hole) but I have an iPhone 5 so I purchased the OEM Lightning adapter off VW Parts on Amazon.
Problem is it doesn't work...the adapter port is so tight you can hardly insert it, then once you have it inserted, it's bent back on the white collar so tight against the side the thing doesn't charge my phone, it will flash the charging symbol if I wiggle it but otherwise its dead.
Any one else have issues with this, and if so how did you overcome it?
