Looking to upgrade my muffler

Looking to see about upgrading my muffler from the stock to something newer, don't know what's good out there? Any suggestions??

If you have a 7.5 a common recommendation is the TCR muffler. Same as the mk7 Clubsport one but fits the 7.5 diffuser. There should be a thread on it

Just go on YouTube and search for GTI 's with different brands of mufflers. A lot of the companies who make mufflers have a video with the sound also.

The muffler is unique that it is a center input with outputs at the sides, not all many aftermarket mufflers are available in that configuration if you want to keep the stock center muffler. Usually cat-backs goes with one muffler and a T-pipe after the axle for max loudness.

Vibrant makes a muffler in that configuration in 2.5", 3" or 3.5" piping. But with so much noise absorption packing, it's going to be relatively quiet also.

Another option is a tranverse "Camaro style" muffler.

i thought the clubsport muffler for mk7 was the most popular/ bang for the buck, nice sound
