Newbie here from Sydney (English been here 5 years)

Only done about 70 k's so far mostly traffic too, but loving it.

Sydney has few decent driving roads so need to get out the city to stretch her legs.....

Hard not to keep in sport all the time though with that DSG pop

Cant wait to do a few little tweeks to get it looking how I want....

Congrats, looking good. I really love how angry the non LED tails look.

What kind of tweeks do you have planned for it?

Hi,

Yea glad theres one bonus to us not getting the LED tails here in oz, lol

Nothing huge, was going to do gloss black wheels. but changed mind after seeing one on road. Couldn't justify $1000 didn't look heaps better.
maybe in future or get different wheels.

I did tints and wind deflectors already....

Will wrap roof gloss black and mirrors too.

5000k H15s so the DRLs match the LED fogs can run those as DRLs too.

Philips Diamond vision H7s.... you can tell I don't like yellow/orange light? ha

May even do a light smoke tint wrap on headlights.

Gloss Black VW, GTi badges front and back (maybe paint exhausts tips too)

Looks great, and some sound and subtle modifications you have listed there. Please post some pictures of the beauty when you have gotten around with those jobs :)

Still interesting to me that the Oz GTIs come with standard lights instead of bi-xenons and LEDs.

Yea will do for sure....

Yea interesting and disappointing to me.

You can get the Xenons here if you want to pay $2500.

But other things they kindly omitted that you cant have are Keyless entry, LED Rear lights and Electric folding mirrors.

The 4 things I would really want and are standard on UK cars, my homeland!!
Frustrating to say the least!

I have read it is because they needed to keep the base price down and so had to omit items.

Still cheapest base model cost $44000 on the road. We get raped here!!!

That's a good looking beast right there, I'm just curious about the headlights not having the red stripe inside them

VW's multiple variations across international borders still continue to amaze and baffle me.

How does varying specifications cut down costs when it comes to mass manufacturing, I can never understand. Then again, I'm no expert in their processes and norms...

I believe the red stripe in the headlamps are a design feature exclusive to bi-xenon lamps.

Just like on non-GTIs, there is a subtle continuous chrome strip that continues from the grille onto the headlamps.

Congrats from Romania! That is a proper hot hatch Golf and the best engine!

Here the simpler xenon (without AFS and LED-DRL) is EUR 870 (AUD 1270) and the AFS one is EUR 1300 (AUD 2000) here.
