We pulled the trigger last week on a new 2016 Golf SE. Not real special but suits our needs. We are going to use the buyback money from the TDI settlement to pay for it. After all is said and done, we will end up paying about $1500 out of pocket for fees. Loved the JSW TDI but getting a new car after owning/driving it for 3 years was too good to pass up. I also used the $500 dealer credit toward the purchase. I wanted a 328d wagon as a replacement but couldn't justify a $45k dog car. So, here we are with a Golf. Also owned a '06 GTI which the MANUAL tranny went out after 65k miles.
