I have my GTI at around 102 miles and daily drive it for now until i get a beater. after i get the beater i do want to truly build the gti but im worried if its even worth it. onto my question. my car has about 102k miles and im wondering if its worth tuning it or am i going to blow my poor little engine to bits. i was looking into unitronic since i have their intake and am planning on getting their DP as well but their dyno sheets scare me as it states on a stage one tune it proves about +45 hp and in my mind im thinking "thats a lot of gains from a tune that states no mods needed" its either that or a cobb tuner, but like i said. im scared of blowing the motor since it is my daily. someone with experience plz help thank you very much.
PS. Unitronic tuning says that it requires 93 octane but when i look it up on my phone it says i can use 91 octane and that also confuses me. i live in cali so i only have access to 91 octane. can i use 91 with a uni tune or do i need to purchase a fuel addititve
