Injector Service - Preventative Maintenance?

I have a 120k mile stage 3 car, only 5k on big turbo + tune, running great. Tracking once in a while.

Planning carbon cleaning in a couple months. Wondering what to do with the original injectors "while I'm in there" - pull + send them off for cleaning? Just replace with new ones? Should I be using an additive + how often? Liqui Moly or VW with oil changes? Why?

I've used injector cleaner with oil changes on cars in the past but have never owned a DI car before. Could someone pls point me to something more evidence-based on additives? Looking to read up.

Wouldnt hurt to get the injectors cleaned. Use Chevron Techron injector cleaner in your gas tank occasionally.

As far as preventing the inevitable

using top tier certified fuel 100% of the time will definitely delay the inevitable by a huge margin

I throw a bottle of this in every oil change. Many years ago a bottle of this stuff cleared up a fluttering gas gauge in my B5 Passat.

44k (I think that’s what it’s called?) was a solid fuel injector cleaner the few times I had to use it

Thanks for the tips. I have a lead on a set of new injectors so will likely swap over to them and service + sell my original set.

I’ve never used the LM injector cleaner but I have heard that it works very well

These LM kits from FCP are interesting, one meant to be used every 5 oil changes, and the other for each of the four in between. The engine stuff may be a bit redundant if one's already using a good quality oil + changing regularly, and quality gas, but probably can't hurt...
