So those are the 62835 ones, which from the Bosch site says are for the CXCA engine. I'm pretty sure 2017 had the CXCB engine, but only you can tell for sure.
Aren't CXCA and CXCB the same engines, but just different tuning for the 10 horsepower bump that the Performance Pack models get? In 2015, you could get either, but then, I think, somewhere around 2017 all of them essentially got the PP. Someone can clarify if I'm wrong since it's early in the morning and I haven't had caffeine yet haha.

I always assumed they were just tuned differently at the ECU level, not at the part level with different injectors. From the service manual, the only difference I see in the engine table is the following, the rest of the table is the same:

2018 ROW, 2019 US for everyone getting the PP

So at this point I don't know what to do. I love how the lottery of this fiasco is that my VIN is showing I need the most expensive part.
Did you figure this out? I'm now running down this rabbit hole.. 2015 GTI. PN on the vw.ca virtual counter says 06A906036Q fits, but FCP euro shows that PN only fits 2017 and up. FCP shows the kit that fits my 2015 is 06L906036AH.

Did you ever resolve your PN choice?

Never ended up buying it. If I were to pull the trigger now I would go with the Bosch 62840 and not the VW version. You can get the Bosch ones in Canada or FCP Euro.

Thanks for the response. Mind if I ask your reasoning? FCP is showing the fitment is for 2017+

I emailed FCP euro and they responded that their website is wrong. They stated for my VIN the part number is: 06A906036Q. Then based on my info from this post: https://golfmk7.com/forums/index.ph...uring-carbon-cleaning-pns.413901/post-7959838 you can see they all seem to corelate. My VIN and car has the CXCB engine, you need to verify if that's what you have too. If you do, then I would go with 06A906036Q or the Bosch 62840. I would go for the Bosch, because the dealer OEM one is 345CAD EACH, which is ludicrous.

I got the same response pretty much;

Hi, I hope you're well, I'm just looking for part number compatibility for feul injectors. VW recommends 06A906036Q for my 2015 GTI (OE part number) but your webpage indicates it's not compatible with my engine. I'm seeing on your webpage that the 06L906036AH is recommended. Can I get some clarification on the difference?
(09:05:07)S
For reference, the Bosch equivalents are MFNG numbers 62840 and 62835 respectively.

Hello and thank you for contacting FCP Euro! I'm not too sure what the difference between the two would be, but if you have the VIN for your vehicle, I can certainly confirm which you need and if there's an error with our catalog.
(09:07:00)S
No problem, give me a second to pull it.

Awesome, one moment while I take a look here
(09:12:48)Vincent S
Based on the VIN, you would need 06A906036Q
(09:13:24)S
Alright, is that an error on your webpage then? My 2015 isn't listed on the page for that PN
(09:14:38)Vincent S
I'm not too sure to be completely honest. Both part numbers do show as being correct for a 2015 in VW's database here, just based on your VIN you would only be able to use 06A906036Q
(09:15:50)S
Seems strange, the VIN lookup eliminated the AH PN and only identifies the Q for 2015? (Just to confirm).
(09:16:25)Vincent S
Correct
(09:16:40)S
Alright, thanks for the clarification, much appreciated.
(09:17:07)Vincent S
No problem! Is there anything else I can help you with at this time?
(09:17:24)S
Nope that's it, thanks again for the help.
(09:18:23)Vincent S
Any time! Thank you again for contacting FCP Euro! Have a great day and stay safe!
