Guide for adjusting headlight beam?

I just put my order in for some Helix HID's from opdparts.com and was wondering if there's any guides on how to properly adjust the beams so I'm not blinding drivers on the road. How did you guys do it once you were finished installing them?

find a wall (I used my garage door) and park a specific distance from it (I used 25 feet). Use painter's tape and mark the cutoffs for the left and right beam. Mark where your front wheels are too, so you can replicate it.

Install new headlights.

park in the same exact spot

do it all over again, making the cutoffs match the old ones.

Does anyone have the stock measurements from some distance/height? This way I can adjust my lights since I lowered before measuring.
