I would love to take a 17 sport 2 door and r swap it. Using the 7.5 r front and rear face-lift bits also. Make a true face-lift 2 door R!!!!

Exactly, the only way this makes sense if they do a USDM 2 door Golf R..... maybe in reflex silver, which is a rare color even worldwide, I think a few were imported to Canada for the first year only, but nowhere else in NA....
Personally I like the more boxy front end and sideskirts of the original MK7, but whatever it is 7 or 7.5, make it a 2 door reflex silver R! That would be sick....

As an owner of a 2DR RSM 6MT I'll get the gofundme started shortly. We can even skip the transmission swap.
I can appreciate the amount of work the PO put into this build.
Reminds me of a eurowerks club member who did an R conversion to his Jetta Wagon back when I lived in MSP.
Found a couple photos from one of our camping trips up near the Canadian border in 2009. That’s my Jazz Blue 20th AE parked behind him.
Still regret selling the 20th for a MKV R32.

Fair enough, the wife said the same thing about my 20th. What grown man drives a bright blue GTI.
