I see the Golf R springs only lower the car by 1". Can the Golf R springs be used on the GTI instead of the GTI springs which drop it 1.2"? I know it's not a big difference but I'm still curious.

I believe the difference you may be seeing in those numbers is due to the Golf R already being a bit lower than the GTI from the factory.
