Excelerate Performance: Northeast Audi & VW Performance and Service Center



We wanted to start our first thread here to introduce ourselves and what we offer here at Excelerate Performance. We moved just about a year ago to 12 Sycamore Way in Branford, CT. This location houses our 5000 sq ft facility where we have designated almost 75% of our building to service-related work. Our service area boasts a 3300 sq ft service area with five 2 post 10k FORWARD low-profile lifts, a waiting room for our customers with TV and comfortable couches, a break room for our employees, an inventory room, a LANAIR Waste Oil Burner, heating and air condition in the office and showroom, ample parking, and much much more.

We also have an extensive array of mechanic’s tools, including specialty tools for many German and Japanese vehicles.
Each of these tools allows us to diagnose and repair your vehicle more efficiently. This saves you money and time. Additionally, we have a Miller MIG and TIG welder, Blue Point smoke machine, SNAP On Verus, Autoenginuity Scan Tool, VAG Com, Durametric, and many many more tools. Each of these tools allows us to diagnose and repair your vehicle more efficiently. This saves the customer money and time. In order to improve the performance of vehicles we have various tools for flashing: APR Cheetah cable, APR CPD programmer, APR Universal Programming Device, APR Computer Clamping Device, Active Autowerke Flashing Station, JHM cable, Softronic cable, United Motorsport and more.

Although Excelerate Performance specializes in the sales and installation of performance parts on your VW and Audi, we do also perform regular maintenance and service work. Services range from oil changes to engine builds. We do it all: suspension, brakes, timing belts, Check Engine Light diagnosis, VAG COM work, etc.

Another B7 RS4 in for carbon cleaning



New customer in with his B8.5 S5 to have it stanced out with H&R Spacers and a KW Height Adjustable Spring System as well AWE Tuning downpipes and exhaust!







Regardless of the season, Excelerate Performance's customers are always looking to improve and modify their vehicles. Here is a look at the Stasis Coilovers we installed on a customers RS4 despite the snowy conditions.



 
Ever wonder what's involved in bench flashing a Bosch MED17.1 ECU with APR, LLC. software? Here at Excelerate Performance we have all the tools and the properly trained mechanics to flash all and any APR software available, just like on this RS5 ECU.

 
We've been involved in a lot of 4.2 non FSI timing chain overhauls recently. Here are a just a few of the photos from a recent project.



Fully assembled and ready to be installed, complete with new timing chains, guides, JHMotorsports Inc. mechanical tensioners, and OE electrical tensioners.



Look ma... no heads



B6 S4 4.2 non FSI heads back from the machine shop. Unfortunately when the guides break valves can be damaged.



Installing the head gaskets on this 4.2 non FSI.



We cannot stress the important of having the correct tools to perform the job correctly.

Of the dozen or so Audi/VW's in the shop in the past week for APR software, the RS5 4.2 FSI was my personal favorite. Regardless of favorites, each of the customers had a big smile after we flashed APR software. Let us give you a smile. Contact us today to set up your appointment.

The Tubi exhaust for the R8 GT in all its glory.



Disassembly of the R8 GT 5.2 V10 in preparation for the Tubi exhaust and APR, LLC. software.




Despite the R8 GT boasting lighter weight, the stock exhaust was still almost 67 lbs. The Tubi was closer to about 30 lbs.



In order to prevent any damage due to exhaust temps, the factory heat shields are reinstalled over the Tubi exhaust.



APR, LLC. completed the R8 GT V10 5.2 project by providing software for the dual ME9 ECU's and increasing hp to almost 590 total hp!!!

Our very first Mk7 GTI in for APR, LLC. software



With gains of 115 TQ and 90 HP it's a no-brainer. And it's all done through a direct port flash in about 20 minutes.



APR, LLC. exhaust and rear sway bar on a MK6 GTI



Another MK6 GTI in for the APR, LLC.K04 kit for the 2.0L TSI with the upgraded 3 Bar MAP sensor. This is probably one of the best bang for the buck upgrades for this platform.

This B8 S4 3.0T came in for a APR, LLC.Stage 2+ supercharger pulley upgrade along with APR software.



Another B8 S4 3.0T came in for some 034Motorsport test pipes and APR, LLC. software.



Flashing the APR, LLC. software after it receiving the upgraded 034Motorsport test pipes.



B7 A4 2.0T came in for some clutch issues. A spring on the disc went haywire so a new LUK clutch and flywheel was installed. While it was out we took the time to replace the rear main seal, refresh the shifter ball with new components, and replace the leaking coolant flange on the back of the head.
