I wouldn't believe them the story about the car learning. Perhaps they hope you will not come back?! I'm sure mine worked the same from the beginning. I believe there is nothing the car can learn with regards to auto hold release.

Improbable!

Yep that's what I thought, but I'll give it try over the next week or two, the VW dealer I purchased the car from is a round trip of @ 90 miles round trip so I took it to the VW dealer who serviced my mk6. ( I understand the DSG can learn the driving style but not the Auto hold) try again tomorrow.
