Thanks for the video, Alex. Are there any safety measure implemented to cut back on boost if too high of an E mixture is used on a car that can't keep up?

Yes this has always been the case with these cars. They target the AFR in the tune in full time closed loop using the wideband at all times and if they can't meet the AFR they will cut out.
