Car transporter fire

Traffic announcement on the radio this evening. Hopefully this doesn't affect anyone's new cars...

I heard about it on the radio this evening (2013-11-25) but can't find any more information on exactly what was involved.

At least my car is still "safe and sound" at Emden waiting for a ship. If it was being transported today I think I'd be having kittens about now.

Could be worse. My car was delayed 8 days, due to "transporter availability difficulties" while not overjoyed I wasn't too fussed, couldn't have collected it that week anyway. I subsequently discovered 'my' transporter had been damaged in an accident - some poor souls new white Golf GT had fallen off and the transporter collided with it ....
