Bluetooth Next/Prev control greyed out

The Android bluetooth AVRCP profile v1.5 (released December 2020) doesn't seem to work with the OEM MIB (1?) of the 2015 GTI. The Next/Prev track controls stop working and appear greyed out (but Play/Pause was OK).

Solution for me was to downgrade my phone BT to AVRCP version to 1.4. On my Google Pixel 3 it was under Developer Options (once that menu is enabled).

Hope this saves someone a couple of hours of fiddling and googling.

Also wanted to thank you for this as there are several options for BT AVRCP Profile 1.2-1.6 under the Android 11 Settings on my P4a5G also.
Everything works now.
