Installed the ARM FMIC on my GSW the other day. Quality is great for the IC itself and the sleeves. The ambient air sensor relocation has it sit into the driver side mounting arm and sits it behind the crash bar. So far i've noticed my in car temps are reading about 3-5 higher than what my phone reports at the time now. Though no big jumps in air temps when idling and in stop and go traffic.

On that note, they have you bend or grind/snap the OE ambient location bracket - so just something to be aware of. I had to remove mine as bending it just caused fitment issues with getting the FMIC mounted. Also had to remove the two rubber air channels on either side for fitment too.

No logs yet, but I should be getting around to some this week.

Some data done by someone else on the IC:

My Golf Mk7 http://mygolfmk7.com/ should be required reading for anyone thinking about changing their intercoolers or modifying their intake systems. In it, Jeff does solid testing of almost every intercooler and intake upgrade available for a GTI or R on his own flow-bench. What he presents is far and away more detailed analysis than you'll find in any professional website. It's like mana from heaven for anyone trying to improve on the air flowing into their EA888. While my guess is that most who start looking at this treasure-trove of data won't stop until they've read every word and scrutinized every graph; for the original poster, impulsive.ca, here's his overview comparison of intercoolers http://mygolfmk7.com/mk7-gti-r-intercooler-comparison/, and these are the pages where he tests the ARM FMIC: http://mygolfmk7.com/2020/09/arm-motorsports-fmic-flow-test/ , http://mygolfmk7.com/2020/10/arm-motorsports-fmic-bench-cooling-test/ , and http://mygolfmk7.com/2020/10/arm-fmic-street-data/.

yeah man, lots of good stuff there. @Acadia18 was the one that put me on to that site.

the best and most interesting data there was when dude did the twin cooler with a beefy fmic and beefy stock location unit. I thought it was overkill for the turbo he was running, but he will definitely never have post intercooler temp issues. ever :ROFLMAO:
