My wife and I watch that tree house show and she drinks cider. Who’d be up for a run to Angry Orchard in Walden NY to tour, sip and sit in a cool tree house? Fall would be best, cause you know, apples.

Personally, while I'm a white guy so it sounds like I'm a SJW, I am pretty appalled at the recent event that happened there. Check this article out: https://www.foxnews.com/food-drink/angry-orchard-racially-profiled-proposal

And yeah, that's Fox news and some folks may not like Fox News. It was just the first google search result. Numerous news media outlets reported on this. I was quite surprised. While I'm not trying to ruin the party here, just be aware of this type of stuff. Sometimes these kinds of things are a full-stop for folks who'd otherwise be interested.

For me, I have a tough time supporting such a brand that allowed this to happen. Was it a perfect storm of circumstances? Perhaps. However, it seems like some racial profiling was going on and I'm not down for that, as a person with numerous friends of varying ethnic backgrounds.

Just my two cents.

Like I said, I didn't post to ruin the party. If anyone wants to go, that's fine. I won't ever be that person who says, "oh so you support racism?!" just because someone went to enjoy a few hard ciders. However, I know some folks are sensitive to that kind of thing so I figured it may be appreciated by some to mention it. Especially if there's some sort of protest or whatever going on out front of the entrance, which I saw mentioned in one article the day all of this bubbled up.

I wish but my wife and I have a baby on the way any time now...due date is 08/17! I'll be out of commission for a while but I'll try and keep the Bear Mountain Runs updated. I'll see if anyone I know is down though.
