Android version for Android Auto

Which version of Android is needed for Android Auto? My Android 10 (even though it has AA built in) won't connect to the car.

I'm not sure about Android 10 specifically but I was having issues staying connected to AA when I got a Pixel 6 (Android 14), turns out the cable I had wasn't rated for data transfer so it couldn't maintain AA

I used original Samsung USB-C cable and it wouldn't connect so I assume it's Android related issue but I can't find any info about Android version needed.
