My aunt/uncle just sold both of their X5's to Carvana and as far as I know it was a good experience.

My local VW dealer just offered me $35,000 towards a CPO dieselgate 2015 Jetta TDI SEL w/60k for 11.7k. Full CPO and dieselgate extended warranty. Shook hands on it over the phone, picking it up tomorrow.

Wanted another MK7, but inventory around me was meh... and the CPO + dieselgate warranty sells itself for a daily driver I don't care much about anyway.

Seems dang reasonable/good to me for a 2017...

If you are looking to make a move, just start shopping it around like I did I guess. It would seem here in FL these are a slight bump up in value, I assume just supply/demand.

Honestly, keeping in mind ive owned like 75+ cars now (of varying level of quality), I am happy to had this. I always wanted the MK7.x R, I got the R.... I enjoyed it over ~5 months on weekend drives. Little did I know when I bought it the pandemic would wrecking ball my driving world, and I also am still wary about layoffs at my employer. Getting my monthly nut on cars to near $0 seems like the right move for now.

To be able to MORE THAN cleanly get out of a used car is not something I'm used to, and seems like a sign.

The TDI's are great. We have a 15 Cayenne diesel with the 3 liter V6 TDI motor and its pretty awesome. Having the extended warranty on it is pretty key. It's been fairly reliable for us but the warranty has picked up several items over the 2.5 years we've owned it and saved us thousands.
