Can someone tell me why the 2015 GTI turns into a flaming pile of shit after 100k miles? Is it because every engine component is made of plastic? Like what’s the deal? This past year it has went threw 3 fuel pumps in the tank. 1 fuel pump on engine is going to hell. Water pump leak so bad it overheats. 2 ball joints needing replaced. A/C recirc motet needs to be replaced. Plus I have a loud knocking sound coming from DSG trans. It has 147k miles... anyone else having issues? Lol

We're well within the 300k mile warranty too!

Did you get your car new? I don't see why you car would eat up 3 fuel pumps in 1 year if you don't have other problems.

vdubguy unless you provide a complete history of your car from day 1, including your daily driving log, we can't answer these questions for you. Cars aren't made to last forever, so complaining about ball joints at 150K miles is kind of goofy...

If you went through 3 fuel pump then you need to see another mechanic.

None of that seems shocking for a 150k mile car aside from 3 fuel pumps which if you're buying cheap Chinese units then that is your own fault.

Can't blame the mechanic. He didn't manufacture the fuel pumps.
Yes, but he didn't fix the problem, either. Perhaps the parts source is the problem, perhaps something else is causing the pumps to fail. Is this a mechanic or a part replacer? How much does he earn on each pump he replaces?

Whoever supplied the fuel pump is at fault. If the mechanic is hired to replace the pump and it ultimately fails in this case 3 times, was the mechanic asked to troubleshoot it? We don 't know. The OP didn't say.

Could be perfectly fine pumps, and something else causing the failures.

Could be. Not likely but possible. The OP left out a lot of pertinent information. Who supplied the fuel pump? OEM or aftermarket? Each new pump that was installed would have had a warranty. Did the same place install all three pumps? Was it trouble shooted for a reason for failure?

147k miles of being mercilessly beat on by some flat brim vape bro will turn any car into a flaming pile. Probably what happened here. ?

Wow. Had no idea you could tell that from his post. ?
