Please excuse my excitement in advance...

I started doing Hillclimb Racing http://www.nhahillclimb.org, with my old Focus ST, last year after finding out about them through our local autocross club. Needless to say, it is dangerous, it is difficult, and it is a f***ing blast!. :screwy: Experienced autocrossers and better can apply and upon entry, you get to essentially rape 7 of the most beautiful hills in the northwest.

Great Races in Beautiful Places! I highly recommend it. It is so choice.

Well, fast forward to now. Now back. Back again... Well... after a few autocrosses and 2 drag nights in the GTI, I was unconvinced that my purchase of the GTI was wise compared to my highly modded Focus ST that I traded in on it...

The best 1/4 mi Focus ST could pull a 13.37 on Hoosiers and Stage 2+, and she won the DSP class at 3 hillclimbs and 2nd at one hillclimb. That was enough to win the DSP season title. Nice trophy shirts too! I broke a 5 year standing class record at Cascade Lakes last year on my 2nd run EVER hillclimbing. The bug has bit.

Well anyways, This weekend was time to defend my first hill. Cascade Lakes. My only goal: Whoop the living crap out of myself from last year or bust.
Last month I went to the Import Face Off in Oregon and ripped a 13.34 1/4mi my second hit. Got it down to 13.32 on the tires I had. Good start...

In short... lol... When you watch the video, make note of the ST's record time and compare it to the time the GTI pulls on the same hill.... I will leave the times a surprise... Last year's run with the ST is below that. Skip to 3:10 for the good run. Enjoy!
