What I got from reading that was.

We are still working on the final development details for our VW/Audi fitment wheels and they will likely not be available (fingers crossed) until around Q2 of next year. following up with another flow formed design (i.e FL-5, ARC-8, etc) in our current VW/Audi fitments.

My wheels finaly arrived here in Brazil. 18x9 with 250/650 yokohama slick tires. Ready to be tested on Interlagos circuit on the end of this month!

• Lightweight and reasonably priced.
• Wider size availability, specifically in 17” wheels.
• Goal is to clear all or most of the popular OEM+ (TTS, Macan, etc) and aftermarket (Stoptech ST-40/ST-60 355mm, etc) BBKs.
• Ideal offsets to fit on both GTI and R models with minimal additional modifications.
• VW center bore specific to avoid requiring centering rings.
• OEM Hardware compatible.
• OEM VW centercap compatible.
• As much concavity as possible given the target sizes and offsets for the MK7 chassis.

Damn, had I known you guys went to all this trouble, I would have definitely went with a set of Apex. Next time for sure. Specifically the bore and 17" wheel width availability is super nice.

@APEXWheels Couldn't find this in the thread here, has anyone requested BBK fitment in the SM-10 17x19" for the ProdigyWerks 6-piston FS6 calipers running a 356x32mm rotor? Fitment template here and I also submitted a ticket through the Apex site to track it. I'm sure the 330x32 kit isn't an issue, if the 356x32 would fit in the 17's that would be great. Only shows a 196mm (7.75") radius from rotor center to the caliper edge.

Similar rotor size to the Mk8 R, which I'd also like to determine if 17's will clear.

With how flooded the aftermarket wheel segment is for VW, it would've been silly for us to offer wheels that don't provide exactly what enthusiasts have been asking for. We spent a lot of time on R&D for these wheels to ensure they check every box. Please feel free to reach out directly if you end up needing wheels in the future!

I just responded to your email request but I figured I would share the info here for others to reference, as well. The 17x9" ET42 SM-10 will clear the 356x32mm ProdigyWerks 6-pot kit without any issues. No spacers are required and barrel clearance, while tight, is not a concern. The 17x8.5" ET43 will NOT be able to clear without the use of 6mm or larger spacers, however.

18x8.5 SM-10s in matte bronze showed up today. The nice folks at Discount Tire mounted a set of slightly-used Continental Extreme Contact Sport 235/40s up to them. Very impressed, nice wheels. They weighed ~20.5lbs but wheel + tire I lost 2 pounds per side over the APRs with Michelin PS AS 4s. Glad I pulled the trigger! Next up is the stud conversion when the black version is in-stock.
