Easy White to Red thread conversion for MK7 interior bits

Took a gamble and decided to try to color match some white-threaded low profile cloth headrests I picked up here to my GTI’s red threaded interior by “dying” the white thread red using a Crimson Red Prismacolor marker. It’s a damn near spot on match.

We’ll see how it lasts colorfastness wise, but I don’t expect a ton of fading too quickly.

Yeah they were OEM euro cloth headrests I bought from a member here.

I saw someone put up some Audi ones that can fit and are low pro like yours but his audi ones were ridiculous! I might look to find what you did. In any case the stitching looks great!

Right. When it does I’ll hit it again with the prismacolor marker. It look under 10 min.

anyone who owns them after me will get the marker In the package LOL.

yeah I don’t suspect it will last as long as I want, but I’ll likely look for another more permanent solution in the long term or I’ll just hit it with that prismacolor again.
