I'd swap em while you're in there if you're planning on keeping the car. I did mine when I did the water pump. Once the manifold is off it's an easy thing to do. Get the placement kit for them as well. Details from my order with rockauto are below. My car is a 2016.
Got my Bosch from Rock Auto as well. Would have gotten them from FCP if they had had them in stock.

Does anyone know why there are 2 different part numbers for 2015 GTI injectors? I have a dealer telling me 06A-906-036-Q is listed for my 2015, but the 06L-906-036-AD is listed as fitting 2018-2019?? My issue is that one 3 times the price of the other. 06L-906-036-AD is listed as the cheaper option.

if it's intended for 2019s it'll likely be the continental revision, which has proven terribly unreliable. check your fitment on FCP and see if they sell the bosch-branded part number.

www.vwparts.com comes back with some funky hits.
06L-906-036-AD for GTI and R alike. That is generally not right.
06A-906-036-Q for some Gas and Diesel applications alike.
If that is correct, I wasn't aware gasoline and Diesel used the same injectors.

I'd likely do a lot of cross referencing and possibly even go for another part# all together.

The more confusing part is that on the official VW Canada parts site, both are listed as compatible:

1683219450664.png

1683220027963.png

But the local dealer I went to is showing me on their system the only correct part is 06A-906-036-Q. FCP euro has the Bosch ones listed but they don't search by VIN, so not sure if that makes a difference. In 2015 the GTI came with or without performance pack, mine is the performance pack with +10HP, so 220HP. I know this is ECU software only, but maybe that's why their are two different parts? If the MK7 GTIs are all the same why are there so many options for parts (OEM and Bosch)?

Options I've found so far priced in order:
  1. FCP Euro - Bosch - 06A-906-036-Q - $59USD - (fcpeuro.com) - Website says doesn't fit my car, but emailed customer support and they say this is the one for my car and the FCP site is wrong.
  2. FCP Euro - Bosch - 06L-906-036-AH - $79USD - (fcpeuro.com) - Fits GTI only 2015 and 2016???
  3. parkautomotorsports.ca - Bosch - 06L-906-036-AK - $80USD - (parkautomotorsports.ca) - Fits GTI all models from 2015 to 2021??
  4. thewrenchmonkey.ca - Bosch - 62835 - $88USD - (thewrenchmonkey.ca) - Fits GTI only 2015 and 2016???
  5. urotuning.com - Bosch - 06A-906-036-Q - $108USD - (urotuning.com) - Fits GTI all models from 2015 to 2021??
  6. VW Canada - OEM - 06L-906-036-AD - $125USD
  7. wctperformance.ca - OEM - 06K-906-036-M - $136USD (wctperformance.ca) - Fits GTI all models from 2015 to 2021??
  8. FCP Euro - OEM - 06L-906-036-AH - $197USD - (fcpeuro.com) - Fits GTI only 2015 and 2016???
  9. ShopDAP - OEM - 06A-906-036-Q - $263USD - (shopdap.com) - Fits GTI all models from 2015 to 2021??
  10. VW Canada - OEM - 06A-906-036-Q - $383USD - Confirmed for my VIN

So at this point I don't know what to do. I love how the lottery of this fiasco is that my VIN is showing I need the most expensive part.

If I'm reading this right the VIN confirmed part number 06A-906-036-Q is also the same part number as the cheapest option from FCP that they're saying will fit your car.

Seems like that's the one you should be ordering.

Option 1 is a new addition to my list. If you go on the FCP euro site it won't show up for my car. I emailed their support and they said the part for my car is "06A906036Q" and their site is wrong.

At this point, the Bosch part number 62840 seems to be the best bet. The Bosch site shows it as a fit, if I select a 2017 GTI instead of 2015. I choose the 2017 because on the Bosch site it was the first model year after 2015 that says it's for a CXCB engine (https://www.boschautoparts.com/p/gdi-gasoline-direct-injection-62840-)

If I select 2015 GTI on the Bosch site it gives a different part, but with a message saying it's for CXCA:

My next issue is that I can't seem to find the Bosch version in Canada.

06L906036AH those are the bosch numbers from the fcp euro website

BOS-0261500585

https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/audi-vw-direct-fuel-injector-bosch-06l906036k

06L906036K, 06L906036AH, 06L906036AA, 06L906036AD

62835, 0261500585, 0261.500.01E, 026150001E, 62143

So those are the 62835 ones, which from the Bosch site says are for the CXCA engine. I'm pretty sure 2017 had the CXCB engine, but only you can tell for sure.

This makes everything even more confusing o_O

Essentially what I was looking to see was if anyone has any more insights into these Bosch part numbers or VW OEM numbers. It's clear the connector and the body are all the same. But maybe they have different flow rates? Why else is VW changing injector part numbers between model years of the GTI? Why is Bosch doing the same? My car is stock right now but I was going to go Stage 1 soon. I don't want to buy injectors with smaller flow rates than I have and then have problems when I'm tuned with fuel trims.
