The shop finally got a chance to look at my car today. After a 6 days of the car sitting my official diagnosis is:

"confirmed hydraulic fluid leaking from bell housing area.
rec to remove transmission assembly and inspect clutch & slave cylinder."

I was quoted $1200 to tear it down and fix whatever it may be plus whatever the parts will cost. I dont have another car and I need to get to work so I dont have much of a choice. I'd much rather have a VW specialist do this but my trusted go-to shop, NGP, is booked into October. I guess this is what I get for tracking my daily. I went ahead an approved the quote and hope to hear back tomorrow.

I was pretty bummed so I went and checked out a new Supra today. They want a $1000 (fully refundable, no-commitment) deposit for an order with an expected delivery of January. I am very temped.

But did they confirm it’s not a external leak at the bleeder block? No reason to pull the transmission if that’s the case

you should check the slave cylinder first.. if it's leaking from there it'll follow the line into the bell housing. easy check and fix if that's the issue.

Not today, but... found and fixed something that has been making me go insane for almost a year.

A knighthood, lands and titles to whomever brings me the severed head of the MF who's responsible for these being in my car.

Gold star next to your name if you can guess why. One hint: there were eight of them.

Excessive misfires on #2 came back again today. I can’t feel any of them and I’m getting no codes, but it’s a pattern.
So, going to swap #2 and #3 coil packs before I mess with plugs. Can’t do any of it yet since the ground wire nuts can’t be separated until I find a flat 10mm 🙄

“Ignition wrenches”, which should be available from Lowes.

Back in the good ol days if you bought a craftsman multi piece set they always threw a pack of them in.

Can also get them cheaper at HF, but that’s always a gamble. I bought a set of safety wire pilers there recently and they literally lasted three pulls before breaking (meanwhile my good set at work is 11 years of daily use old).

I sacrificed a cheap HF 10mm to the angle grinder.

Hmm... Why smell coolant.... Why engine smoke?

I've been holding onto this replacement part for about 3 months. Investment paid out. Look at this melted plastic trash.

I was about 2 min away from breaking out my dremel tool… and then I magically found a 10mm/11mm stamped wrench that was thin enough! Had no idea i had one. I assume it’s one of the many tools I inherited from my grandfather but didn’t know I have. Thanks, grandpa!

Coils swapped.

Oh and here's the fucking piece of melted shit I had to fish out of the top of the turbo.

Which one is magical? The mount or RocEuro arm?
Both, but like Diggs said, the arm really tames the Powerflex hybrid puck. I am going to do a bit of a "review" once I have had some more time behind the wheel, but so far, it's really good. NVH is cut down A LOT and shifts are buttery smooth. Even with the switch from an OEM transmission mount + stage 1 BFI insert to the full stage 1 mount, NVH overall was still decreased. I do have the benefit of the puck already being installed for around 6k miles so I don't have to deal with the break in period on the puck.

As an aside, the pivot point on my stock dog bone is pretty much frozen in place. I doubt that the pivot in the stock arm has had very much flex after being exposed to the elements for 6 years.
