The best coleslaw I ever had was only this one time, back when I worked at my old job. I don't know what the dude who ran the kitchen did that day, but HOLY FUCK was it the best coleslaw I've ever eaten in my life. I went back like 3 times for more.
Prefer vinegar based coleslaw over mayo based, that's for sure.

My last slaw was close to what I am looking for
I started with one of those bag mixes (not a fan)
About 3 T cider vinegar and left that overnight to kinda pickle
Then added 2T mayo
1t each relish mustard
A bit of dill
You can skip the overnight but the mix was good. A blend of creamy and tangy

100% agreed. Smells awful. I think its the main reason i hate hot sauces. The smell makes me wanna barf
